Sam Dillon

Sam Dillon is the President of the Boston Firefighters, IAFF Local 718 and was elected to GBLC leadership in 2024 as Executive Vice President for the Public Sector.

Executive Vice President Sam Dillon was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986. He attended Brookline Public School before transferring to the Dexter School. Following Dexter School, he attended and graduated from Brookline High School in 2005. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 2005 through 2011l, to include deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corps in 2011 at the rank of Sergeant. 

Dillon joined the Boston Fire Department in 2013 and immediately became involved in Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718, serving as a Shop Steward and Executive Board Representative. He was elected to serve as the President of Boston Local 718 in June of 2022, a position he currently holds. Executive Vice President Dillon maintains a strong belief in the fundamental values of Organized Labor and service to others in the Public Sector.
