TOLMAN AND ROGERS RALLY WITH FEDERAL WORKERS IN BOSTON
As the government shutdown drags on, some 7,800 federal workers across Massachusetts aren’t receiving a paycheck—even as many are forced to report for work. Massachusetts AFL-CIO President Steven A. Tolman (TCU/IAM), Greater Boston Labor Council Executive Secretary-Treasurer Rich Rogers (IUPAT) and Sen. Ed Markey joined 150 working people in Boston’s Post Office Square on Friday to speak out against that unacceptable injustice. “It’s a core principle of the labor movement,” said Rogers. “A day’s work for a day’s pay.”
